Solyanka with cabbage,
potatoes and mushrooms.
500 g (1,1 lb) cabbage, shredded.
5 potatoes, washed, boiled than peeled and chopped.
200 g (7 oz) dried mushrooms, washed, soaked overnight, cooked in water,
strained, drained
and chopped.
2 onions, chopped and fried in the oil.
2 cup water.
oil, salt to taste.
Cooking Instructions:
Put cabbage in the skillet with oil and fry until golden. Put the fried cabbage into
casserole saucepan. Put next layer: chopped potatoes - into casserole
saucepan with cabbage. Fry mushroom and put them onto potatoes. At last layer
fried onions put on the top. Pour water into casserole saucepan. Season and bake in the oven
for 40 minutes.
Garnish the solyanka with (10 ea - 15 ea) cranberries or finely chopped parsley and dill.
