Canned string beans.
Description: can be delicious appetizer.
Ingredients:
6 pint string beans
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp canning salt
1 pint water
1 tsp vinegar ( 85 - 90 %)
Method:
1. Combine sugar, salt, water and add string beans. Boil for 10 minutes.
2. Pack hot string beans into hot sterilized jars.
3. Pour hot brine over string beans. Adjust caps. Process for
10 - 15 minutes in boiling water bath.
4. Add vinegar into each jar, and seal.
Yield: about 6 pints
